Some battles can be fought with weapons we can see and generally use first. Legal action or calling people that you feel may be able to help you with the situation you are facing but when nothing seems to be working and you feel you are boxed in with nowhere else to turn what do you do?
I have good news for you. Turn to God and pray about your situation. Give it to Him, read His Word and you will find your answer. His Word provides an armor we all need to put on each day. This armor will give protection, power and peace, His Peace.
The armor includes the belt of Truth because God cannot lie; - the breastplate of integrity, right standing with God; - Shoes of God's Peace, which will give you firm-footed stability; - Shield of Faith; - Helmet of Salvation and the Sword, which is the Word of God. (See Ephesians 12:6-12 below)
When we take time to talk to Him first and follow His ways, we are amazed how life falls into place. We shouldn't wait until we have a problem to include Him in our lives. He should be a part of every minute of every day.
Zechariah 4:6-9
These verses promise that your situation is fought not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord.
Since last June Tony and I have been fighting a battle that makes no sense. We didn't go after it; it came to us. Sometimes God wants to trust us with situations that don't make sense to us at the time, but do make sense to Him. God never allows something without a purpose. That is why He provided the armor. He knew we would face battles that we normally could not handle without His armor.
When we are entrenched in battle and are feeling we aren't making any headway, remember the Power that is offered to us, if we would accept it. Jesus never leaves us and He promised he would never forsake us. His promises are true. We can trust Him.
Ephesians 6:12-18
12Â For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotism, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude and right standing with God,
15Â And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the [a]firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness [b]produced by the good news] of the Gospel of peace.
16Â Lift up over all the [covering] shield of [c]saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
17Â And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit [d]wields, which is the Word of God.
18 Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).
Â
I don’t know what battle you may be facing right now, but I do know the God I trust. He never turns me away when I come to Him in fervent prayer. He always works every situation for my good. If He does that for me, He will do it for your too.
