Isaiah 43: 19

Behold, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs forth; do you not perceive and know it and will you not give heed to it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.

JESUS BRINGS US FROM DEATH TO LIFE
JESUS BRINGS US FROM DEATH TO LIFE

I am sitting in my home looking out of the window at the trees and the grass that winter has stripped of the foliage making them look so dreary and dead. It is hard to think that in a few months they will be filled with life again. The foliage will be back and birds will be resting in their new homes. Colorful flowers will once again fill the dreariness that we face in winter.

When life takes a hard turn and things look dead as these trees look right now, it is hard for us to believe that things can change, because all we can see is dreariness in the lifeless situation we are facing.

I have good news! They can change when we invite Jesus into our situation. He is the Life Giver. He is the One Who brings Hope!

The above scripture is a wonderful Promise from God. He loves doing new things. We should embrace change even if it takes us through dry and hard places, because even if our circumstances change, He doesn't. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

"He promises to make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." This means that while you are going through the dry place, He will still provide and protect you in the midst of the dryness.

Tony and I have been through so many dry places. I wouldn't change a thing. Each one has helped us to grow in Jesus. He has taught us to trust Him and be at peace in the hardest of times. We embrace them because we know He is with us and is making a way that will be better than when we started. He is the Light in the darkness.  His Light never goes out. His Peace is perfect and allows you to rest in Him. We can choose death or life.  He is Life.

Horatio G. Spafford lost 4 children when a ship carrying them and his wife went down due to a storm.  He wrote “It is Well with my soul”

When peace like a river attended my way

When sorrows like sea billows roll

Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say

It is well, it is well, with my soul

It is well (it is well)With my soul (with my soul)

It is well, it is well with my soul

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought

My sin, not in part but the whole

Is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh, my soul

It is well (it is well)With my soul (with my soul)

It is well, it is well with my soul

And Lord haste the day when my faith shall be sight

The clouds be rolled back as a scroll

The trumpet shall sound and the Lord shall descend

Even so, it is well with my soul

It is well (it is well)With my soul (with my soul)

Oh it is well, it is well with my soul
